Diego Siñani Stepanian

Diego Siñani Stepanian is a Bolivian-Armenian artist who studied Fine Arts in Moscow and holds a master’s degree in Art History and Criticism. His painting engages in dialogue with the Russian academic tradition.

His visual language moves between realism and a freer, more atmospheric and sensory approach to painting, in which observation coexists with color, brushwork and a poetic dimension of everyday life. His work explores the relationship between place, memory and history through scenes of daily life, cities and historical references connected to the cultural contexts in which he has lived.

He has participated in exhibitions in Bolivia, Russia and other parts of Europe. He is currently developing his artistic practice in France.
